Job description
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role is accountable for supporting the marketing agenda for our Walker's brand both in the UK and globally. Working closely with the Walker's internal network, including Sales, NPD etc. the successful candidate will be a point-person for supporting the activation of marketing initiatives for the Walker's brand.
Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating and executing marketing, digital, social media, advertising and promotional activities for Walker’s Shortbread
- Assist in developing promotional strategies for brand awareness and profitability
- Provide assistance in developing brand positioning and communication strategies
- Support cross-functional teams to execute projects within assigned timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with Market Research / Consumer Insight team to identify consumer trends and needs
- Work with the NPD / Technical team
- Provide assistance to Marketing Manager / Head of Marketing in all activities pertaining to brand building
- Support Marketing Manager / Head of Marketing to introduce new products in the market
- Support Marketing Manager / Head of Marketing to introduce new brand campaigns and / or brand activations
- Assist in developing annual brand plan / brand strategy for profitable Walker’s brand growth
- Manage project budgets

- Strong research and analytical skills
- Time management, organisational and project-planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable and flexible in their approach
- Team player
- Positive \"can-do\" attitude
- Hands-on marketing, digital marketing, advertising and consumer insights experience
- Qualifications in marketing, or business/work-related learning, or a degree would be advantageous but not essential
