Job Description
- Assisting the Executive accountant in all aspects of consulting projects activities including but not limited to:
- Set of projects in a timely manner
- Posting of costs to projects via timesheets or invoices as appropriate
- Revenue recognition on projects where applicable
- Analysis of the monthly results to understand key hits/ misses and issues within the services
- Billing of services projects in a timely manner to customers.
- Closing projects as and when appropriate.
- Work with the project managers and PMO to understand the projects as they move through their lifecycle
- Monitor backlogs and bookings and aid the reporting of both numbers in the management accounts as appropriate.
- Support the services team with any data requests they may have.
- Where applicable, assist with the production of the reporting packs for the Western Region
- Assist in the onboarding of the projects acquired from the EAM acquisition.
- Reconcile the unbilled and Billings in excess accounts as they relate to services.
- Assist with the forecasting process for services
- Assist in the updating of the recoviery rates for the application engineers.
The Successful Applicant
- This company are considering ambitious Assistant Accountants, Accounts Assistants and Purchase Ledgers for this role
- AAT qualification would be beneficial
- Wolud consider someone in the middle of their studies
- Experience of Double Entries, balance sheets, reconcilitaions, cost categories, puchase orders would be beneficial
- Positive, can do attitude, ambitious
- Experience working in a finance function of a multinational company would be an advantage.
- The ability to produce information in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent written and spoken English, a confident and concise communicator who has experience of dealing with both finance and non-finance management.
- Able to maintain strong working relations with staff and business partners that may be located outside of UK.
- Experience of an international business environment - preferably in a software, technology or projects business would be an advantage.
- Self-motivated individual that is looking for a role that will challenge and reward.
- Good IT application skills and experience. Experience of using integrated accounting systems required. Proficient in use of excel and powerpoint.
