Job description
WE HAVE AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR EXPERIENCED DARI & PASHTO SPEAKING VOICE ARTISTS! - Recording & Sound Editing of Learning Content
Bring your voice over expertise, creative muscle and passion for recording to Cell-Ed.
We are a fast-growing startup on a mission to help low-skilled adults expand their education on their cellphones. This is your opportunity to become an impact player on a growing team.
As a native Dari and/or Pashto speaking Voiceover Artist, you will play a critical consultancy role in a large-scale project in partnership with the California Department of Social Services Refugee Programs Bureau to provide easy access to English language learning education and training on essential life skills for living in the U.S.
You will be hands-on in recording original and creative Cell-Ed scripts written by our content writers.
Cell-Ed’s interactive mobile courses are primarily audio - engaging voice instructions and dialogues - combined with text messages and images. Our pioneering approach allows students to get proven learning gains in short bursts of activity when they can, wherever they are.
We are looking for experienced professional Voice Artists who will use their expertise to:
- Record script content using your own professional recording equipment and software (Adobe Audition or similar), ensuring that content conveys the original meaning and proper use of tone (friendly, helpful, yet polite)
- Edit voice-over content so that it is error-free and without background noise, similar to a professional podcast
- Communicate closely with Cell-Ed team members to ensure quality and continuous improvement of translations across scope of project
All scripts are in Google Docs, ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 words (approximately 1 hour of finished audio) with a 1 week turnaround, depending on script length and project priorities.
Please link a portfolio or sample of your work within your application.
Rate: $50 - $65 per hour
