Report to: Housekeeping Manager and other Hotel Management
Duties Include, but are not limited to:
- Manager the department in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are
followed
- Maintain all guest rooms, public areas and heart of the house areas (KurSpa); ensuring that the highest standard of cleanliness is met
- Ensure good communication within the housekeeping department and with other departments
- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of inter-departmental communications and documents
- Assist in maintaining an up-to-date inventory of linens and cleaning materials as well as placing regular
orders with suppliers
- Assist with biweekly payroll reporting of the Housekeeping Department
- Prepare documentation and training for new employees
- Assist with creating staff schedule and entering into TimeTrex
- Create daily assignments for Room Attendants & Supervisors
- Conduct room inspections and ensure service standards are followed
- Report necessary maintenance items
- Address guest concerns and react quickly - notifying proper departments as required
- Assist the Housekeeping Manager in achieving departmental targets and goals in a financially
responsible manner
- Attend scheduled departmental meetings
- Follow departmental policies and procedures as well as all safety and sanitation policies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous leadership experience required
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
