The Store facing Operations Manager (Retail and F&B) will oversee all the daily operations of the company at unit level.
Be passionate about delivering exceptional levels of customer service and driving sales and all KPI’s. To manage the store’s employees, including hiring, performance evaluation, scheduling and assigning duties and responsibilities by training, coaching and developing the team. The Store facing Operations Manager will be responsible for motivated & engaging staff and to ensure the staff represents and embraces Company Values and understand Company goals. They will also hold regular team meetings to communicate with the staff.
Store facing Operations Manager responsibilities include overseeing customer service and implementing technology solutions. You should be a responsible leader with an analytical and strategic mind and have a broad knowledge of the business. You will also be committed to productivity, sales and compliance.
Ultimately, you’ll ensure our operations run smoothly and that people are productive delivering a profitable Profit and Loss account for our stores..
Store facing Operations Manager
- Manage day-to-day retail operations
- Analyse store budgets review for opportunities and efficiencies
- Maintain inventory process to support the link between stores and supply chain
- To be the interface for communication and process compliance between stores, third parties and central operations
- To be an interface for the recruitment process for store management
- Report directly to the Company Operations Manager (COM)
- To work in retail stores and F and B Venues
Duties and Responsibilities
These core responsibilities are:
Manage Employees
- Labour process managerInterface and liaison for Recruitment of Store Management
responsible for managing and terminating employees when necessary
ensure that every member of the Team is provided with a full and specific Job Description outlining areas of Responsibility and Accountability.
Operation process review meetingsduties include providing regular employee evaluations
wage increase recommendations schedules to be provided within the financial budgets and performance reviews
Analyse Sales Reports and Buying Strategies
- Maximise sales on all occasions
- Daily and weekly report controller -through the finance teamTo analyse daily, weekly, quarterly and annual sales reports
to note which items are selling well and which are not on a regular weekly basis- though the finance team and supply team
to discern profit margins for each item/sector/company
To ensure an annual buying, marketing/brand and seasonal plan is produced and presented to the COM
To update the COM with confirmation reports on a weekly/ quarterly basis
Monitor Staff Operations
- Safety and legal policyensure that the Team manage employee payroll and coordinate staff work schedules to ensure all shifts are covered.
ensure Team also monitor employee occupational health, turnover, and job satisfaction.
when problems are noted, the Team speak with employees to find out how to help them become more satisfied with their jobs informing the COM of the details
ensure that a full Store policy and procedure guide with full training aspects is produced and maintained
all Health and Safety regimes are compliant to both National and Local requirements
Within the food and Beverage departments a full understanding and implementation of food safety laws are in place and checked as per HASSP guidelines
Merchandising Control
- Merchandising responsibilitiesTo be responsible for maintaining inventory areas
ensuring that core lines are produced and adhered to.
To ensure that all best sellers are known and are permanently in stock during their specific season
To ensure that regular inventory reports and writing purchase plans for upcoming seasons are produced
Ensuring that all events are planned at least 3 months in advance
Full communication of all events through the team and managers
Store responsibilities
- Brand manager and liaison through external support teamsensure that a full robust maintenance programme is in place with the objective of maximising opening hour
opening times are beneficial to the company at sale and profit levels
‘Call out’ schedules and rotas are in place
Food Safety
- Within the food and Beverage departments a full understanding and implementation of food safety laws are in place and checked as per HASSP guidelines
- All Health and Safety regimes are compliant to both National and Local requirements
- Ensure that full segregation of products is conductedDo not allow cross contamination
Vendors
- Ensure a full programme of vendors for each unitThroughout the year
Create variety and theatre
- Source new vendors and productsNew products to be reviewed at company meetings for comment and authorisation
- Create good relationships with all vendorsQuarterly review and communication meetings with all vendor owners
- Ensure that vendor margins are maintained to company requirements
New Products
- Develop a range of products to be sold within the F & B area creating and maintaining a MCR
- Ensure that the margin is within the company requirements
- Analyse the additional requirement for labour on all new products
- Source additional ranges throughout the year
Communicate with Sales Department
- Seasonal planner gate keeperTo regularly communicate with Managers regarding sales reports, marketing campaigns, and day-to-day store operations
To set up and chair regular sales meetings
To ensure a marketing/event calendar is in place and operational
Business Goals
- Oversee and build sales, budgets, projection costs and overhead
- Get new business development ideas
- Ensure the Team offer ultimate customer service
- Create an inspirational and growth-enables environment for staff and foster company philosophy
- Develop a retail and F and B vision, strategy and plan to drive top-line growth and bottom-line profitability
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
