Cardzone Ltd has successfully built and established an estate of over 160 card and gift shops throughout the UK during the last 15 years, operating under a variety of “brands”: Hallmark, Card Centre, Paper Kisses, Home & Fragrance and Yankee Candle. We have recently created an exciting new brand called Mooch we have opened a number of sites over the summer and have many more planned in.
As part of ongoing store development program, we seek to further strengthen our operational team, to attract the right individuals for the role of Area Manager. The new role will principally lead both commercial delivery and store performance across the South East, focussing more around the in and around the Surrey / Sussex area.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Clear passion for retail, with strong customer service values, specialising in Greeting Cards and/or Gift sectors.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to identify and drive sales growth.
- An eye for detail, to drive in-store retail “theatre” and shopping experience.
- To effectively plan and execute regular store visits across responsible store(s).
- Complete weekly sales reports, utilising word and excel.
- Overseeing store operations including stock control, health and safety, security, point of sale.
- Recruit and manage each individual store manager to enable them to deliver high store performance and development of their teams.
- At least 3 years' experience within a similar role, previous greeting card experience essential.
