Freedom Solar Power is looking for a Site Assessor to join our team! In this role, you will conduct on-site studies for residential projects. Your evaluation will consist of taking measurements, completing shade reporting, and the overall qualification for solar panel installation. Individuals with prior solar, roofing, and/or construction are highly encouraged to apply!
Job Duties:
- Documenting electrical set-up and capabilities and any existing structure or facility variances
- Survey residential home projects with a drone, taking photos at various heights and angles
- Attending project, weekly operational, and safety meetings
- Effective, accurate & timely communications with Service and Install Dept.
- Daily reporting, Computer Skills, Emails, Uploads, and SWF reporting
- Assist other departments as directed
Qualifications:
- Part 107 FAA certification
- At least 1 year of experience in construction, solar or PV strongly preferred OSHA 10 required.
- Valid Apprentice Electrician license required Must have a valid state driver’s license
- Must be willing to travel/commute to various job sites at least 40%, including some weekends, are requested.
- Prior experience and knowledge of residential electrical projects.
- Must be able to navigate residential roofing systems including multi-story structures

- Possess strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Must be highly organized and process-oriented
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs and climb ladders
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and lift.
- Ability to work in 100+ degree weather
