Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank. Our multi-disciplined teams include DevOps Engineers, IT Architects, Front and Back-End Developers, Infrastructure specialists, Cyber experts, as well as Project and Programme Managers.
Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2023 and beyond, we are currently seeking experienced individuals to join HSBC Technology.
Operating in a highly competitive environment, Technology leverages various Suppliers and other third-party engagements to provide efficient distribution channels. With presence in multiple countries and several thousand third party business engagements, Technology TPM is critical function that is responsible for managing day to day risk presented by these operations.
We now seek a - Technology Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) – Incident, Read-Across and Outreach Lead
The Technology Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) – Incident, Read-Across and Outreach Lead role is a senior role responsible for supporting the Global Technology TPRO, IT Optimisation & MI Reporting lead and wider Technology TPRM team to ensure effective governance & operational reporting provides oversight and management of HSBC Technology’s Risk and Control Landscape.
Ultimately, ensure the c2,800 services delivered by c1,800 suppliers are received in compliance with the Group’s Third-Party Risk Management Policy, Guidance & Control Task Framework.
Responsibilities
The Technology Third Party Risk Management – Incident, Read-Across and Outreach Lead role must demonstrate strong analytical & technical skills and is expected to support the Technology IT TPM Risk Insight and MI Lead by:-
- Analysis: Evidence strong capabilities to receive digest, analyse and structure inputs and requirements from multiple stakeholders to define clear outcomes and communicate these effectively to the Technology Third Party Risk community
- Co-ordination: Be confident in building and managing process to send, receive, collate and analyse responses into meaningful, actionable insights and follow through as appropriate
- Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills to ensure actions are followed through in a timely and effective manner, maintaining high quality inputs / outputs throughout
- Action / Deliverable focused: Ensure (including by appropriate challenge to originating functions, where relevant) clear outcomes are determined and drive through to resolution, maintaining clear visibility of the end objective and producing high quality end products to auditable standards.
- Risk SME: Demonstrate Third Party risk insight throughout the work to ensure a consistent focus on optimising Third Party Risk Management processes
- Continuous Improvement: Partner with central functions to support continuous improvement in Third Party Risk Management processes, leveraging lessons learned and opportunities sourced through this work
- Strong programme / project management skills
- Proven delivery and quality focus – delivering against requirements on time and ‘right first time’
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of Third Party Risk Management processes and broad understanding of risk domains
- Leadership skills and strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills to drive the discipline forward in a constantly changing risk environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory environment in the financial services or similarly heavily regulated sector.
- Able to conceptualise the operational impact of business change.
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Core SharePoint functionality skill set
- Ability to understand complex concepts.
- Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines.
The role will be based in London, but some travel may be required. This role supports Hybrid working
