An opportunity has arisen for an IT Applications Administrator within the Contact Centre Applications team based at Exeter or Plymouth. The team look after a portfolio of in house and third party applications that principally support NGED’s Contact Centres.
As part of our hybrid working approach and in line with our policy, this role allows you to apply for a mix of office and home working. Hybrid working can only be considered once your initial training is complete and subject to business need.
Please note the successful candidate may initially be appointed at a lower salary until all relevant courses and training are complete.
If you are offered a position, you will be required to undertake and successfully complete a BS7858 security screening check
Main ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the troubleshooting, configuration and support of critical Contact Centre solutions such as High Volume Call Taker (HVCT), Priority Services Register (PSR) and Openscape Contact Centre. You will be required to undertake a range of activities involving, but not limited to:
- Assisting in the support and maintenance of existing systems, liaising with other IT teams, business stakeholders and third parties as necessary.
- Testing and implementation of new systems and support / enhancements of existing systems
- Coordination of planned system outages and upgrades
- Support the ‘project leader' in project related matters such as documentation and testing as required
- Participate in out of hours working as required
In an always learning environment you will collaborate with other teams and problem solve by coming up with creative solutions to requirements before transforming into functional elements.
The Ideal CandidateYou will be educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent or have extensive practical experience and be able to demonstrate that you have the necessary skills to make a success of this opportunity. You will have an awareness of several computer languages and tools, good interpersonal and communication skills with strong technical and problem solving abilities.
The successful candidate will also be fully computer and PC literate, show self confidence with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and have appreciation of Cyber Security.
Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment.
