Legal Counsel
Contract: Permanent
Package: In the range of £35k - £45k per annum (depending on experience)
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
Hybrid (mixture of office & home working)

We are an Electrical Vehicle Solutions company based in Belfast with investment in a public Electrical Vehicle (EV) charging network infrastructure throughout Northern
Ireland.
We aim to have in the region of 1500 charging stations installed across a vast array of over 300+ locations including a number of major ultra-rapid charging hub sites that will see drivers able to fully “top up” their vehicles in less than 20 minutes.
As experts in electric vehicle charging, we can assist with every step of sorting an
EV charging solution, whether it be for the domestic or commercial market. The company will also offer EV managed fleet solutions and leasing options.

General Purpose
We are ideally looking for a newly qualified/1-2years PQE solicitor ideally with experience in commercial and property law. The role handles a wide range of corporate, commercial, property and compliance work. To be successful, the candidate will need to be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated newly qualified solicitor to gain experience working for a fast-paced start-up in the technology industry, with a high-level of responsibility from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake legal research and monitor different channels for any relevant legal changes
- Review, draft and amend a range of commercial contracts
- Review, draft and amend NDAs
- Review, draft and amend internal policies
- Manage our trademarks
- Support HR with employment matters
- Provide feedback to the senior managers and the wider team on legal queries
- Liaise with external counsel where necessary
- Compliance work, including handling subject access requests
- Commercial understanding allowing you to foresee upcoming needs and act proactively.

Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 12 months experience of working as a Paralegal / Legal Professional.
- Strong educational background and equivalent law degree
- Professional membership with Law society or equivalent legal professional body.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working in a commercial environment highly desirable.
- Experience with different legal systems
