Our purpose at PGL is to enrich young people's lives, and our aim for wellbeing is to ensure that every colleague has the energy to achieve that purpose while continuing to thrive across all areas of their life.
A challenge we face in reaching our aim is delivering inclusive, simple and engaging wellbeing training & coaching that will capture the hearts and minds of our people while they work in demanding environments.
To tackle this challenge head-on, we are investing in four roles to build out our health and wellbeing offering, and we are looking for people who are aware and prepared for the tough challenge ahead.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with senior managers (General Managers and Heads of Department) on our operating centres and in our two offices to provide coaching and advice on health and wellbeing best practices.
- Partner with our colleagues in the People and Culture team to ensure health and wellbeing is an integral part of our people management practices.
- Design, deliver and implement a health and wellbeing training programme in partnership with our People Development Co-ordinators.
- Continually review and evaluate the impact of our wellbeing training to ensure it meets the needs of our teams.
- Guide managers and the People & Culture team in how to onboard colleagues with mental, physical, and neuro-diverse conditions.
- Provide support to colleagues in crisis while maintaining clear boundaries.
- Oversee our health and wellbeing resources alongside the broader team.
- Maintain a network of qualified Mental Health First Aiders, providing them with support, guidance and continuous professional development.
- Support the delivery of key projects and initiatives relating to health and wellbeing.
Relevant experience:
You will be caring, empathetic, open-minded and with a positive outlook. Always looking to improve, you will be a role model and will set and achieve high standards in everything you do. You will be great at setting your work agenda, be self-motivated and prioritise well. You will be able to communicate with passion and enthusiasm and be confident when presenting to a large audience. You will have had experience of coaching stakeholders on health and wellbeing best practices. We are looking for someone who embraces innovation and change and can thrive in a fast-paced environment whilst taking responsibility for their own health and wellbeing.
