Select (part of the Select Technology Group) is the largest Apple Premium Reseller across the UK and Ireland, with 28 stores across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.


We are looking for a dynamic full-time Store Leader to lead the team in our store in Salisbury.

We are now searching for a Store Leader to join us in our Salisbury store to continue to build on its current successes. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about selling and the Apple brand. We want a Store Leader who can deliver results in a target driven industry whilst being able to lead and nurture their staff.

Our Store Leader will lead a team, supported by the Floor Manager, who can deliver this and be backed up by a depth of knowledge and understanding of Apple products. Job Summary


As Store Leader, you will represent the best of the company, managing the Salisbury store for both revenue, profitability and visibility from a global Apple perspective. You will be responsible for maintaining a consistent, efficient, and high performing store with the high standards required within an Apple Premium Reseller.


You will be tasked with supporting the Regional Store Leader with the day-to-day management and direction of your store. You will aid in business-critical objectives, including, but not limited to, KPI management, store audit readiness, training compliance, budgeting, store standards assessment.


Responsibilities and Duties

These include, but are not limited to:


Develop and drive the store revenue to achieve and/or exceed budget and manage all associated costs in-line with the budget parameters.


Deliver an engaging customer experience for sales and service and communicate successes with Store Leaders across all other stores.


Translate the commercial objectives to your team, ensuring all individuals understand the impact of this and the role your store plays in the local community


Monitor your available resources, track store contribution and work with the Senior Store Leader to maximize the full potential that your team and store can offer.


Set weekly targets for your team.


Optimise resources efficiently such as the hours, marketing and team members.


Ensure the day to day administration of the store is completed accurate and in a timely fashion.


Ensure Head Office requests are completed within specific and/or reasonable timescales.


Monitor and process the following within agreed time-scales: Stock rotations, price updates, faulty/DOA returns, demo and internal stock management, team rotes, Personal Trainer, book courier deliveries, create stock returns, return service repairs accurately, manage in-house repairs accurately and securely, iOS repairs, and ensure training is completed.


Coach and develop your own team.


Provide constructive and candid feedback to the Regional Store Leader on areas of development.


Ensure weekly schedules (Retail entertainment / customer engagement in Apple development / learning area) are in place for interactive (video) and/or (personal) engagement with group audiences to build customer engagement / brand loyalty to Apple.


Be the first point of customer escalation within the store if the other managers request support.


Liaise with the Management company for the store to ensure we conform to all landlord requirements.


General management for all store related maintenance to ensure legal compliance along with being Apple audit ready compliant.


Carry out all requests / tasks of the Regional Store Leader and deliver this as appropriate with the same passion and clarity as you have received them.


Assist retail operations on store merchandising and Apple store audits


Manage your team according to current employment legislation and company policies at all times.


General duties include, but are not limited to:

  • The day-to-day operation of your store.
  • Understand fully and implement/manage Apple training compliance initiatives, when required.


Skills & Competencies Required

  • Knowledge of best practice, retail theatre (experiences) and effective strategies in retail.
  • Ability to maintain effective communication and working relationships with all touch points.
  • Strong organisational and management skills with a core focus on attention to detail.
  • Ability to spot and read retail trends and utilise any data available to assist.
  • Natural leader with an ability to coach and inspire.
  • Patience and an ability to work under pressure and time restraints.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ Retail Management experience.


Preferred Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of Consumer Legislation
  • Competent negotiation skills
  • An understanding of what our “Service” proposition is and how it plays an integral part of the overall business offering.
  • Desirable but not essential to hold (current) and/or undertake the ACiT/ACMT/ACSP certifications to have a better understanding of the business.
