What is the Franklin Real Asset Advisors group responsible for?
Franklin Real Asset Advisors is a dedicated platform specializing in global real estate and infrastructure investments. Established in 1984, we manage a range of private equity real estate investments. The investment team constantly screens the globe in search of attractive investment opportunities utilising Franklin Templeton’s global presence and network of real estate local operators. We’re looking for an Analyst to join the team in London to primarily focus on our Social Infrastructure Real Estate Strategy. This role is ideally suited for someone who is keen to develop their career within the Real Estate sector, you could be a recent graduate or someone who has a few years’ experience in a role with a transferable skill set and a desire to learn.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of an Analyst?
- Preparation of business plan and cash flow models
- Contribute to transaction process and due diligence of potential real estate investments including:
- Macro and micro market research
- Preparation of Investment Committee memos and management of internal approval processes
- Ability to contribute to coverage of one or several European Investment markets including market research, interaction with potential local partners and sourcing of transactions
- Support portfolio management and marketing initiatives for new products
- Research of European real estate markets
- Support marketing initiatives for new products
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
- Strong academic background – Bachelors ideally within a relevant field (Real Estate, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering)
- Excellent MS Office skills with a focus on Excel and Powerpoint
- Fluency in English, with other European languages (in particular French) a plus
- Strong preference for work experience covering excel cash flow models
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills; strong team player
- Highest degree of intellectual honesty and integrity
