Job description
Delivery Driver
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload products using manual transmission, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment as needed
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Verify the contents of each shipment against delivery documents
- Collect payments from customers, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Familiarity with using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
Note: Experience with route driving or tractor-trailers is a plus but not required.
