Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Airline Cargo Customer Service person for a National Carrier Airline based in Heathrow area.
Based in our Cargo office at London, Heathrow Airport, the Cargo Agent is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of inbound and outbound cargo and mail shipments for the UK Cargo Department.
The role sits within the Cargo Team and reports to the UK Cargo Manager. The main function of the role is to handle customer calls and make and assist with trade bookings, for a variety of products, ensuring standards are always maintained.
Main duties include,
To handle trade calls in an efficient, courteous, and accurate manner advising clients on transportation requirements, costs, and payment methods.
To route goods to the first available flight or appropriate storage department/area
To check import/export documentation to determine cargo contents & classify goods into different fee or tariff groups.
To determine method of shipments, CCA’s and other shipping documents
To keep records of all goods shipped, received, and stored and team administration duties.
To communicate and coordinate with customers, Cargo Handling Agents and internal departments & where necessary to liaise with Head Office to resolve operational or shipment issues
