Job description
Job Description
We recognise the value in having people with a variety of backgrounds, experience and skills in our business. That means the role requirements here should be seen as a guide, not a checklist. If you have more, less or different experiences, but really relevant skills, we'd love to hear from you.
We work flexibly and will help you to find a healthy balance of remote working and time in our fantastic Southampton office, collaborating, taking part in events and getting to know people that makes working with us so rewarding. We welcome the opportunity to discuss reduced hours and job share arrangements.
The Role
The Agile Business Analyst plays a critical role in helping us achieve our digital goals and ambitions. The role will be involved at every stage of the product lifecycle, from the start of a new feature, right through to delivery and support.
This role will work collaboratively with the Product Team to deliver a programme of continuous development. They will support the Product Owner in capturing and analysing business requirements, breaking them down into Epics, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria for the Scrum Team.
The Agile Business Analyst will have comprehensive knowledge of workshop facilitation and other tools and techniques to gather business requirements, as well as expertise in user journey maps, process models and other artefacts that help the team to deliver in accordance with the problem statement.
- Accountable for capturing outcomes, scope, and requirements ensuring they are reviewed and signed off by the Product Owner
- Accountable for working collaboratively with the Product Owner to translate requirements into Epics, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, ensuring they meet the Definition Of Ready (DOR) and are broken down into manageable deliverables
- Accountable for clearly articulating the scope of a new feature and refining what is the Minimal Viable Product (MVP), ensuring that all scope is aligned to the problem statement / business benefit
- Accountable for attending and playing an active part in relevant agile ceremonies, supporting the team, and representing their user stories
- Accountable for effectively challenging scope and complexity to increase benefits case / delivery pace and decrease cost of delivery
- Accountable for working with the Programme Team to understand the broader business and platform strategy, and define the scope of new features
- Accountable for creating and maintaining business process documentation, working with the business to ensure the smooth transition of a new process into business as usual
Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK08 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis, with at least two days based in our Southampton office.
