Seeking a Compassionate Learning Mentor Level 3 with SEMH Experience!

Join our dynamic team as a Learning Mentor Level 3 with specialised experience in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) support. We are searching for a talented individual who possesses a genuine passion for working with students, empowering them to overcome obstacles, and fostering a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilise your expert knowledge and experience in SEMH to provide tailored support and guidance to students.
- Establish positive and trusting relationships with students, creating a safe and nurturing environment where they can flourish.
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans, adapting strategies to meet individual needs and learning styles.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support and maintain effective communication channels.
- Monitor and track student's progress, providing feedback and adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Facilitate group activities and workshops, promoting emotional well-being, resilience, and social skills development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in SEMH and educational support, incorporating them into your work.
Qualifications and Experience
- Level 3 qualification in mentoring, counselling, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
- Sound understanding of SEMH-related issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioural challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and establish effective partnerships.
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative strategies to support student's learning and emotional well-being.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage caseloads and meet deadlines effectively.

Hours of work
- Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4 pm
- Temp - Perm role
