Location: Brighton

Contract Basis: 3-year fixed-term contract (6-month probation), 52 weeks per year

Salary: Competitive

About the Role:

This post is funded by the Aldridge Foundation and line managed by Aldridge Education. Its purpose is built on the success of the programme which has been running for 10 years, and to ensure that we continue to build our cohort of successful school applications. Working with our partners including Sussex Cricket, a combination of marketing, visiting, admissions work, networking and relationship-building will achieve this.

Key Duties:

  • Growing our cricket stream at BACA
  • Building networks and marketing the offer
  • Agree, plan and run a series of special events at BACA
  • Ongoing communication and onboarding
  • Work with the Head of Marketing and Communications on funding bids

About the school:

Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA) opened in September 2010, and a year later moved into its brand-new building, equipped with new sports, entrepreneurship and IT facilities, and a dedicated sixth form area.

BACA is the state school partner of Sussex Cricket. Whether starting secondary school, working towards GCSEs or in sixth form, this partnership with Sussex Cricket means that BACA students can combine their academic studies with top class cricket coaching in exceptional facilities. For parents there’s no compromise between academic studies and sporting development; no rush to get from school to training every day; and no school fees.

BACA is in the unique position of having two higher-education establishments, Sussex and Brighton Universities, in its immediate proximity. This enables the academy to work closely with them, share their expertise, access their resources, and give students a taste of Higher Education.
