Public Health Scotland is a new organisation, set up to improve the lives of people in Scotland, to reduce health inequalities that persist in many of our communities. The Post
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Public Health Scotland as one of our Team Administrators, working within Business Services providing a top-quality administrative service to various service areas and staff across Public Health Scotland.
Candidate:
- You will have experience of working in an administrative support role with a high level of competence in office administration.
- You will have good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Word, Excel, MSTeams and PowerPoint is required.
- You will be able to show initiative and possess time management skills
- You will be a team player possessing excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- You will have good written communication skills and attention to detail.
- You will be educated to A/Higher Grade.
- You will thrive in a busy environment.
- A knowledge NHS applications such as PECOS would be beneficial, though training will be provided.
Location and Working Pattern:
This role can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. PHS currently operates a hybrid working model, a blend of working at home and in the office each week.
Whilst this role is full time Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week), part time hours will be considered.
During times of public health emergency, or other urgent business need you may be required on a temporary basis to work your normal contracted working hours over 7 days including weekends, in order to meet the needs of the service.
It is a condition of this employment that you have the right to work in the UK and must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with PHS.
