We require a Pharmacy Administration Support Officer to join our team and provide administrative support to the community services medicines management team and the department. This is a fast-paced role with a variety of objectives and targets to meet. You will be required to work at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital to receive training during the induction period. Following this, you will be based at Manor Clinic. The role may require some cross site working at times.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive, efficient and highly confidential administrative service to the Head of Medicines Management for Community Services and the community services medicines management team.
The pharmacy administration team support the Senior Pharmacy management team and the department as a whole and provide an outstanding service to the directorate. This enables clinical staff to deliver patient care ensuring support is received in the back office environment.
The medicines management team provides medicines management services to community-based services to support pharmaceutical care to patients.
- Undertake all duties according to the procedures and policies of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Pharmacy Department. This includes responsibility for, in collaboration with the line manager, creating, reviewing and updating the team’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- Provide a comprehensive and confidential administrative and secretarial service to the Pharmacy Senior Management team including the production of correspondence and reports to a high standard.
- Participate in an annual appraisal to review performance against agreed standards and targets. This will include setting objectives required to perform the role efficiently and to the highest standard, also personal training and study. You will also attend one to one monthly meetings with your line manager.
- Deal with sensitive and confidential issues regarding Pharmacy staff, taking appropriate action whilst exercising discretion and judgment. This includes destruction of confidential information as appropriate and required.
- Effectively prioritise and manage own workload, which may include multi-tasking for various Managers. This includes working independently and being accountable for running an office without supervision. Responsibility mainly revolves around covering a singular site, although cross-site cover may be required.
