Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive administrator to join the Research Funding Development team in Research and Innovation Services. We are a collegiate team who provide specialist support to assist our researchers in identifying, applying for and securing external funding for research.
Research and Innovation Services (RIS) support academic and research staff fulfil their research and enterprise objectives by providing expert advice and assistance in research funding, bid support and management, collaborations with industry and other strategic partners as well as the protection and commercialisation of intellectual property.
You will have:
- Relevant experience and success in similar work in administration
- Up-to-date MS Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Sharepoint
- Ability to independently organise activities and events (schedules, diaries, meeting arrangements), whilst prioritising a conflicting workload
- Ability to use own initiative and suggest and implement practical and effective solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in taking meeting minutes
