Location: Glebedale School, Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £17,427.45 - £19,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixed Term ending October 2024; Term Time only
As part of our continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a School Administrator/Receptionist to join our outstanding team at Glebedale School, Stoke-on-Trent. About the role
The school office is a very busy and fast paced environment. Your role would involve assisting with entering information onto various in-house computer systems, strong use of the Microsoft office packages, as well as general administration such as filing archiving and dealing with telephone queries.
The role requires someone who has strong computer skills as you will be using various packages. You will also be responsible for supporting in reception and meeting and greeting a high volume of parents, visitors and pupils as well as answering and transferring calls and taking messages and ensuring safeguarding procedures are adhered too.
GENERAL
- To provide an effective, timely and confidential administration support to senior school leaders.
- To ensure that records and documents are kept up to date and are always stored securely and confidentially.
- Ensure awareness that the service operates to agreed budgets and contribute to keeping within these budgets as instructed.
- Exercise vigilance in respect of Health and Safety and promptly report all hazards and/or remedy them where appropriate. Undertake all duties in a manner calculated to minimise or avoid unnecessary risks, personally or to others.
- Operate at all times in accordance with Company policies and procedures, with reference to Safeguarding, Child Protection, Complaints and Behaviour Policies
- Participate in training and take responsibility for personal development.
- Participate in team meetings, supervisions and annual reviews in accordance with Company policy.
- Work to promote the school as a valued, professional asset within its community and also to promote a culture that individuals and staff conduct themselves at all times in a manner that reinforces this image.
- To work to and exhibit the values of the Company and maintain standards of behaviour in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices.
- To carry out any other reasonable and relevant duties as required.

Glebedale School is a special needs school which provides provision for boys and girls aged 7 years and upwards. We provide a nurturing and welcoming environment to SEMH pupils and our curriculum has a keen focus on therapy, education and personal development. Our school aims to help children grow academically, socially and emotionally to enable them to become capable future citizens.
We provide education to 30 pupils from the Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire areas. At our last Ofsted in December 2022, we were rated “Good”.
