We are seeking a Admin Officer to support the student admin team and carry out administrative duties.
Your Role
The attached job description will detail your role in full. But at a glance, some of the key fields you will be responsible for include:
- Support with recording of student data
- Undertake routine administrative tasks in support of the school admin function
- Support the process of new students entering and exiting the school and ensuring all paperwork is completed
- Attend annual reviews and other high profile student meetings as necessary to provide admin assistance and record notes and actions
- Complete and submit complex forms, returns and ensure records are maintained etc.
- Assist with the planning, monitoring and administration of exams
- Support with ad hoc administrative tasks or ad hoc projects linked to Churchward School
- Provide a confidential secretarial, clerical and administrative service to the Headteacher, members of SLT and Office Manager when required
- Be a key contact when liaising with other agencies and organisations
- Provide cover for the reception desk during opening hours as required
Your Experience
Our person specification attached will contain the full areas of skills and experience, but it is really important to us that you feel comfortable and confident in your role, so although you may not have everything desirable, there are some essential features our appointee will need to have and these include:
- GCSE qualifications at grades A - C in Maths and English or equivalent
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Be organised, able to follow instruction and work independently
- Effective communicator with good inter-personal skills
- Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to effectively use ICT for a variety of purposes
- Be aware of time pressures and the need for effective time management

Hours: 30hr per week, Term Time only
