JOB MISSION:

As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for managing and sorting high volumes of invoices. Working as part of a team you will use a variety of OCR systems to help coordinate all invoices. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to start their career within a finance role. New Balance will support with studying for your AAT.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract with the opportunity to be extended or made permanent in the future. We offer hybrid working and a flexibility to working hours to accommodate for a healthy work life balance.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Review invoices & credit notes sent from suppliers daily
  • Use OCR technology to enter data onto accounting software
  • Transfer invoices from log to ledger via PA approvals
  • Match invoices against purchase orders and receipts
  • Communicate with different departments to ensure valid approval of contracted costs
  • Posting cash from various bank statements
  • Reviewal of multiple Accounts Payable inboxes
  • Resolve supplier queries by either telephone or email
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Reviewal of outstanding cash without any invoices
  • Log into supplier portals and retrieve invoices required
  • Post direct invoices & credits when invoices will not be issued
  • Ad-hoc administration tasks where necessary

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Previous Accounts Payable processing would be ideal
  • AAT Level 2 Qualified or studying towards
  • Ability to pick up new IT systems quickly
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Organise and prioritise workload on a weekly basis
  • Deadline driven
  • Team Player
