An exciting opportunity for a suitable candidate has become available for a Band 3 Nursing Assistant to work on our Urgent Treatment Centre at Wansbeck General Hospital. The role involves assisting the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care. To also provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate is to be excellent at maintaining high clinical standards.
To work under the supervision of a qualified nurse and assist in the implementation of patient care both direct and non-direct.
To assist the qualified nurses in the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
To give basic nursing care, e.g. assistance with personal hygiene, eating and drinking, mobility needs under direct or indirect supervision.
To report accurately perceived changes in a patient manner, observation, eating habits etc.
To promote health within the ward setting.
Bladder scans.
Removal of urethral catheters.
Basic stoma care.
