We are looking for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our growing Architectural team within our thriving London office, in the heart of the capital. This role will however have a particular focus towards the private sector, to include: Residential, Workplace, and Mixed-use markets. In addition to this you will also have the opportunity to support on an array of schemes, including blue light, commercial, custodial, education, healthcare, industrial, and leisure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Remaining focused on achieving Part 3
  • Absorbing information and learning from others
  • Embedding into the team and offering support
  • Having excellent hand-drawing skills
  • Being exposed to various sectors across all RIBA stages
  • Being involved in architectural and company wide forums and groups
  • Always supporting the company vision and disciplines objectives
  • Undertaking regular CPD activities to build an awareness of building legislation and technology changes

Please note that if successful in your application, you may be required to work on projects requiring BPSS security checks. As part of the clearance process, you will be required to inform us if you have lived/worked overseas for more than 6 months in the last 3 years, and if so, you should expect to be asked to provide documentation to support this.

About You

We ensure our Architectural Assistants are involved in all aspects of our projects. You will work alongside talented mentors to help you broaden your experience and develop your career.
You will be encouraged and supported to enhance your design and technical skills and take on new responsibilities, to ensure that you grow as an individual and are able to develop and nurture your unique talents.

Key Requirements:
  • RIBA Part 2 qualification achieved, and undertaking or planning to undertake Part 3
  • Passionate about design
  • Basic design and technical knowledge and understanding of sustainability objectives
  • Ability to model and produce design and working drawings to a good standard under supervision, and proficient at expressing your design ideas through hand drawings or rough sketching
  • Basic specification and materials knowledge, ability to use NBS, and knowledge of technical standards
  • Good attitude towards multitasking and working to tight deadlines
  • Good clarity and confidence in communication; writing, drawing, on screen and in person
  • Good self-motivation, friendly, efficient, and enthusiastic attitude, and ability to work collaboratively
  • Proficient at REVIT and fluency in Microsoft office
