Job description

The Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District is accepting applications for a full-time Accounting Technician I, to support the Finance Department in maintaining and processing a wide range of financial information and budget related functions. Duties include but are not limited to: assisting in the preparation and processing of District payroll and payroll/tax reports; assisting in accounts receivable/payable functions; posting entries to the General Ledger; maintaining the petty cash fund; assisting in independent financial audits of the District’s financial records; assisting in the preparation and maintenance of procedure manuals; and traveling to the County of Fresno to process receipts and checks.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of related work experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other related field, with at least nine units of accounting may be substituted for the one year of related work experience. A valid California Driver License is required.
