General Job Description:
The Accounting Manager will manage multiple accounting functions and operations such as general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, assets accounting, and job/inventory/cost interface with GL. Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financials and tax regulations, and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting up to and including consolidation with our Guadalajara and Malaysia sites
- Evaluates accounting processes and systems, and implement optimization
- Performs month-end close activities related to cost accounting, prepares the inventory and production-related journal entries, ensures validity and accuracy of ERP analysis, internal audits, and inventory control and production costing interface with GL
- Reviews the rates of depreciation, labor, manufacturing overhead, and material burden
- Leads Operational Audits of cost and prepares reports for senior management
- Develops and directs accounting professionals and support staff
Education, Training & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 3 to 5 years in the manufacturing field preferred
- 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skills
- Must possess an ERP system background and understanding of accounting principles
- Computer savvy and strong Excel skills
- Proven working knowledge of Outlook and Word
- Analytical thinker and strong conceptual problem-solving skills
- Sound organizational skills
- Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work as a part of a team
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to hit the ground running
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $128,000.00 per year
