Job Title: Accounting Manager
Salary: £58,000 - £62,000 (depending on experience)
Location : Peterborough
Benefits: 25 days annual leave,
Up to 18% Bonus
Monthly Car Cash Allowance - £600pcm
Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%
Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution

The Opportunity
The Accounting Manager will provide expertise on complex business, financial or managerial issues within a business unit environment, working directly with the IPSD (Industrial Power Systems Division) Product and Engineering teams.
You will have the opportunity to become one of our future business leaders, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as high levels of leadership and initiative.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Key duties of the role include but are not limited to:-
Provision of supervision with both technical and administrative responsibility for a small team of primarily management staff.
Determining Internal Rate of Return (IRR) for high complexity projects
NPI support including future cost, should cost, alternative analyses and strategy
Operating Profit after Capital Charge (OPACC) determination and analysis.
Product group strategy development and execution including co-ordination of long term planning process
Post implementation audit (PIA) completion
Key member of the 400 Series leadership team ensuring financial support for key business initiatives
Skills and Experience:
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Qualified Accountant with progressive experience within an accounting function, demonstrated ability to act as an effective business partner.
A trusted advisor, acting as a business partner to provide strategic business knowledge to the senior leadership team.
Excellent leadership skills, both of a direct team and cross functional groups.
Process oriented mind-set: demonstrated ability to understand and improve complex business transactional processes.
Ability to assimilate information, prioritise and assess risk in a rapidly changing environment.
Engaging communicator with established presentation skills.
Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Business strategy development & deployment
Experience gained working within a global organisation, preferably manufacturing.
Data & analytics & data management
Intellectually curious, with a passion for process improvement
