About the Role

We're looking for a driven, organized and dedicated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will be a key member of the Finance department, focused on supporting the day-to-day operations of multiple SaaS portfolio companies. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow and build a career in Accounting/Finance.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining up-to-date bank reconciliations
• Maintaining accounts receivable and payable ledgers, processing payments and recording receipts
• Monthly close responsibilities including posting journal entries and reconciling accounts to the general ledger
• Support during the quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Other opportunities to grow your skills, like assisting with budgeting and reporting procedures

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with bookkeeping, especially in a multi-company environment
• Solid understanding of full-cycle accrual accounting principles
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Attention to detail and data entry skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Bonus points for:

• Post-secondary training in bookkeeping or accounting
• Pursuing your CPA designation
• Experience working with cloud accounting software, such as Xero is preferred
