About the Role
We're looking for a driven, organized and dedicated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will be a key member of the Finance department, focused on supporting the day-to-day operations of multiple SaaS portfolio companies. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow and build a career in Accounting/Finance.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining up-to-date bank reconciliations
- Maintaining accounts receivable and payable ledgers, processing payments and recording receipts
- Monthly close responsibilities including posting journal entries and reconciling accounts to the general ledger
- Support during the quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Other opportunities to grow your skills, like assisting with budgeting and reporting procedures
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with bookkeeping, especially in a multi-company environment
- Solid understanding of full-cycle accrual accounting principles
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Attention to detail and data entry skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Bonus points for:
- Post-secondary training in bookkeeping or accounting
- Pursuing your CPA designation
- Experience working with cloud accounting software, such as Xero is preferred
