About the job
Growing boutique event production company is seeking an experienced part-time specialist to oversee daily bookkeeping and accounting. Responsibilities include:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Deposits and invoicing
- Records retention
- Managing financial documents such as credit apps, loan docs, etc.
- Maintaining books
- Managing company accounting and bill pay software
- Basic financial forecasting/light cash flow management
- Tracking and categorization of contractor documents for things like WC audits
- Coordination with CPA
Job Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience required
- Experience in the Event or Entertainment industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and GAAP a plus
- Intermediate Excel skills and Google Docs experience are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must be Southern California based. Fully remote Candidates will not be considered.
- Must have some availability during standard business hrs.
This hybrid position offers competitive compensation as well as a flexible schedule. While there is potential to regularly work from home, we are looking for a Los Angeles-based candidate that can work from our office occasionally, especially during the introductory period. This position provides a great opportunity to develop and implement new systems and processes as well as improve existing ones.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
