Consultant - Advisory
Objective
Provide expert consulting services to our clients, on a full-time basis, in areas such as transaction advisory, financial due diligence, preparation of financial statements / schedules, and other related services. Our client base includes private enterprises and small public companies requiring consulting services that include full-cycle accounting support.
Characteristics
An individual that is organized, has attention to detail, financial skills, a demonstrated ability to problem solve, communication skills, and a positive attitude / demeanor. Must be able to work within tight deadlines (during peak periods) and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Education
As we are a public accounting firm, experience with (or demonstrated knowledge of) accounting and finance is critical to this role. Ideally, we are looking for an individual with a university-level education (or higher), with an accounting / finance focus, along with relevant consulting experience. While not required, and asset is if the individual is a registered CPA student with CPA Ontario.
Duties
Duties include executing financial advisory engagements, preparation of schedules, and other related accounting and tax services for clients. Provide value-added advice to clients and work closely with them to identify and implement improvements to their financial processes. In addition, provide full-cycle accounting support to our clients, including some controllership services.
Support
Our firm will support the individual through mentorship by senior professionals with private and public company experience as well as giving them access to other talent to support them on difficult transactions.
Technology
Our firm is technologically-focused and uses several key pieces of software (and cloud) tools to keep us organized, productive, and on-task. Experience with: CaseWare, ProFile, Excel and other financial modeling tools is an asset.
Other
Office located at Bathurst / Dupont and is accessible by subway. Flexibility exists in terms of working off-site on a needs-basis, depending on workload requirements. This is a small office environment, so being able to work independently is a key success factor.

Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
