Job description
We’re an independent, award-winning creative agency.
We work with high-profile, global brands such as George at ASDA, Estee Lauder, Chivas, Corona, Budweiser, First Choice, Paco Rabanne, Great Ormond Street and a bunch of others.
We’re pretty good at what we do. We’ve been nominated for two Agency of The Year(s) including The Drum DADI Agency of the Year in 2022. We were also shortlisted as Campaign Independent Agency of the Year and for two years running, made it onto Campaign Magazine’s 100 best places to work. We were awarded a Silver Arrow at the British Arrows Awards 2022.
This year we have our sights set on a D&AD and/or Cannes Lion.
There’s about 40 of us (not including the dogs) — but that number grows all the time because we’re still young, ambitious and do great work.
We’re also 70% female with a 50/50 gender split on the senior team. We proudly have 100% pay parity, and it kind of annoys us that we even have to mention that as something that’s unique within this industry.
We gladly do things differently. We‘re super ambitious, brutally honest and always deliver.
We don’t really like the ‘Old Guard’ of advertising. This is an agency that uses passion, ingenuity, and an anything-is-possible attitude to deliver work across all kinds of platforms. It’s one of the reasons why working here is hell of a lot of fun.. Everything’s to play for.
As an Account Manager within one of our Client Leadership teams, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of your accounts, including relationship building with Brand Managers, end-to-end campaign management, and strategic and/or creative development of accounts.
You will support your Account Director in managing key clients, mapping out forecast plans, pushing the agency to produce great work, and ultimately bring your clients and brands, fame and glory.
This will include:
- Being the first point of contact for your clients, and maintaining a consistent and positive relationship.
- Responding to briefs for new projects, engaging relevant agency departments as required, and moving these forward into production.
- Being the brand guardian for your clients within Impero. Know that brand inside and out, keep up to date with their challenges, and maintain high standards of creative work.
- Partnering with Project Management to ensure your projects are running on time and to budget, including resource management, writing Scope of Work documents, and managing client expectations on budget and timeline.
- Assist with managing the revenue pipeline for your clients, including invoicing and purchase order management.
- Identifying growth opportunities for your clients and their brands, pushing new creative territories and streams of work.
- Participate in new business activities as required.
You will be assessed against four key performance indicators:
- Be considered a valued partner by your clients at a Brand Manager level, maintaining a client satisfaction score of 8 (out-of-10) or above.
- Deliver against your revenue targets for your owned accounts.
- Deliver projects on-time 100% of the time and to within 95% of the agreed budget.
- Build strong relationships internally, earning 80% positive peer feedback during reviews.
Above all, you’ll embody our core values of being honest, doggedly determined, always on point and audaciously ambitious.
You will have a hunger to build strong client relationships, deliver exceptional work for your clients and to be part of an amazing team. More so than this, you will have a willingness to learn things outside your remit and pick up skills quickly.
- 3 years minimum in Accounts roles.
- Have a good foundation of cross channel executions – digital, social, OOH, trade activations and more.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Excellent verbal communication.
- Is able to problem solve and bring solutions to the table.
- The type of person who likes to create amazing work – rather than sit in a meeting talking about it.
- A good team player invested in Impero’s growth and new business opportunities.
- Pro-active and committed to developing own knowledge and skills.
- Unafraid to roll up sleeves and muck in.
- Organised and self-disciplined, with an ability to multi-task and consistently hit deadlines.
- Is driven, motivated and has meticulous attention to detail.
- Have a can do attitude and a bit of the ol’ entrepreneurial spirit.
We are committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion among our workforce. Even if you don’t have work experience in advertising, experience can be gained from different industries, hobbies, or voluntary activities that can give you the transferable skills to accele in this role.
- Being part of something special — this is an exciting growing agency with no board of directors, or shareholders to report to.
- Opportunity to Opt into our Health Insurance.
- Life assurance and Income Protection.
- Enhanced Maternity/Paternity policy.
- Hybrid working.
- The ability to stamp your mark on an organisation – not just be a cog in the machine.
- Seasonal company parties.
- Annual personal development plan and training budget for your own growth.
- A ‘yes work’s important, but let’s not get too serious’ vibe.
- A distinct lack of bureaucracy or politics.
- Ownership over your own projects whilst enjoying an inclusive environment.
This is an awesome place to work. We’re in control of our own destiny. But it means we’re the only ones that can deliver it. We’re all massively ambitious and hard working. But it’s also fun.
We all get along, there’s no politics, just heaps of passion. We’re the creative industry’s new guard. And it’s awesome.
NO Agencies please – we already work with loads.
- We receive so many wonderful applications that we can’t respond to everyone so thank you in advance for your application.
