Responsibilities and Duties
- Work within the Design Studio kitchen / preparation area to produce all food / recipe requirements supporting photography and videography shoots
- Develop recipe ideas using cooking appliances from some of RKW’s branded product ranges for utilization in blogs, recipe books and website SEO content
- Plan, shop and prepare all food item requirements for shoots and recipe development
- Collaborate closely with photographers, videographers and a creative director on food related content
- Stay updated on the latest food styling trends, techniques and industry best practices
- Source and select appropriate props, backgrounds and tableware for photography / videography shoots
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standard are met during the styling process
- Adapt to project requirements and tight deadlines whilst maintain high quality standards
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions, offering creative input and ideas for food styling concepts.
- Keep schedule/work progress updated to allow for visibility on job progress.
- Work within Trello (Design studio project management system) with all job activity/communication.
- Use correct file and folder naming procedure to ensure jobs can be identified and found.
- Ensure brand guidelines are understood and followed at all times.
- Work with the Design Studio Admin to manage sample access in and out of the department.
- Work as part of the In-House Design studio alongside other media teams including Copy Writing, Graphic Design, Videography.
- Work alongside the Studio Management team to ensure design work is managed to agreed SLAs and targets.
- Work with external design agencies where required.
- Manage and engage with internal “clients” in the delivery of creative design solutions. Core client base includes Buying (product), Brand Directors (product and sales) and Marketing (B2C and B2B marcomms).
Experience and Skills
- Proven experience as a Food Stylist, ideally withing food, photography or advertising industry
- Strong artistic and visual sense, with the ability to create stunning and engaging food presentations
- Proficiency in various food styling techniques, including garnishing, plating and arrangement
- Knowledge of food photography principles, lighting and camera angles is a plus
