Job description
A fantastic opportunity to join a leading garden furniture company based in Coulsdon, Surrey. With more than 20 years’ experience manufacturing and distributing quality teak and rattan furniture throughout the United Kingdom.
We are currently looking for drivers to deliver & assemble garden furniture for our customers whilst maintaining the quality and integrity of our product and communicating with customers upon arrival.
Based out of our Coulsdon site, you will be allocated alternate routes dependent on customer orders. At Jati Ltd we pride ourselves on customer service, using our fleet of new 3.5t luton box vehicles. Company fuel cards, mobile phones, satellite navigation systems and any tools required will be provided for business use only.
Role Responsibility
Delivery of garden furniture to customers residential and commercial properties, including specific requirements (assembly when required)
Adhere to all delivery routes as set by our logistics team
Comply to the company’s hygiene and H&S procedures & SSOW’s (PPE will be supplied)
Carry out vehicle checks set out by the Transport & Facilities Manager to ensure our fleet complies to all road safety regulations
Be aware of the driver duties and responsibilities as set out by the Directors & operations management
To assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles (as required)
To assist the warehouse team if not allocated a driving shift
The Ideal Candidate
Must be flexible for early start times (route dependent)
Must be over 21yrs for insurance purposes
Cat B licence is essential
Clean licence preferable but not essential (Maximum of 6 points for insurance purposes)
Experience driving in the UK essential
No previous driving disqualifications
Furniture assembly experience an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided
Must be able to communicate sufficiently in English (both verbally & written)
Must be physically able to lift and manoeuvre heavy items (manual handling training will be provided)
Act in an appropriate manner towards our staff, customers and the general public

6-month contract (with the potential for full time appointment)
Hourly rate of £11.15ph (overtime rate of £12.36ph after 48hrs)
Overtime hours available throughout the summer season (April - August)
