We're currently looking for Waste & Recycling Team Leader
- Location: Chessington World of Adventures, Surrey KT9 2NE
- Hours: Full time & part time, fully flexible. Fixed term contract to November 2023. Working weekends and bank holidays as required.

About the Role
As a Waste and Recycling seasonal team leader you will be responsible for working one of two Waste & Recycling shift patterns and managing the daily operation for all things Waste & Recycling here at Chessington World of adventures resort. Other duties include:
- Working on a shift pattern with team of waste & recycling drivers/hosts
- Reviewing training, and supporting with training new staff
- Supporting with recruitment
- Supporting with waste management across the resort
- Managing Waste area cleaning
- Supporting with maintenance issue (fixing silo bins)
- Working with contractors in removal of Waste streams (oil, food, glass, clinical etc)
You will be responsible for driving company vehicles to collect full bins & replace them with empty ones. You will pay particular attention to bin rotation for general waste & recycling and be responsible for sorting through and separating a variety of recycling streams to ensure recycling rates are a maximum as well as tipping bins into our onsite compactors, use of cardboard bailers, skips etc.
Collecting waste such as WEEE waste, bulky items, zoo bedding waste, engineering and facilities waste. You will continually monitor cleanliness levels on back of house waste areas, and ensure all areas are always kept at a high standard and enforcing Health & Safety policies & procedures.
Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be aged 18 and over and a driving licence is desirable.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent guest service. You will need to be a good teammate & communicator as well as proactive and hardworking to succeed in this hands-on role. The ability to tackle responsibility and work on your own initiative is a must.
