Client Profile:
Our client is a modern IT orientated organisation specialising in the delivery of Cyber Assurance capabilities in the UK and overseas. They focus on the development, delivery, and support of high-performance software solutions in the Cyber Security industry, serving customers in the Public and Private sector.

Key responsibilities
Our client are looking for a skilled IT support engineer to assist their customers with all IT related technical support issues. As an IT support engineer, you will listen to clients to determine the nature of the problem, diagnose hardware or software issues, provide effective assistance, and maintain strong customer relationships.
You may also be required to install new software applications and train customers on proper application use. To ensure success as an IT support engineer, you should have in-depth knowledge of business software and hardware systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and high-level interpersonal skills. There is also a degree of project work undertaken within this role. You’ll be working within the IT team and with senior business members to deliver a variety of projects across the business.
- Installing and configuring client computer systems
- Responding to client IT support requests
- Meeting with clients to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues
- Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems
- Offering solutions that meet the needs of the client
- Repairing hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems
- Maintaining good client relation
- Tracking and managing work records
- Compiling and contributing to IT Knowledge Bases
- Working with project teams to deliver new systems across the business
Skills & experience
- Experience with Service Management tools such as HP SM, Jira Service Desk
- Networking (Cisco, Juniper, HP, Dell)
- Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V)
- System Automation (Ansible, Python, PowerShell)
- System Administration (Microsoft, Linux)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues
- Ability to think critically
