Job Description
We are currently looking for an Area Cleaning Supervisor for a full time, permanent role in Sidcup, Kent.
As the Area Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for the management of all Ward Hostess, Cleaning and Operational services associated across approximately 35 community healthcare sites.
The focus will be on setting the highest standards ensuring the delivery of a consistent, high-quality service, taking into account the needs of the Trust, Patients, Staff and Visitors.
- Responsible for ensuring that high levels of work and hygiene standards are adopted throughout the Community Sites, maintaining hygiene rules, regulations and standards and behaviour of staff
- Set and review team objectives in line with the business goals
- Ensure a full understanding of the requirements of the Services and the Performance Monitoring Standards
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach in response to the needs of the customer
- Carry out monitoring of the services
- Ensure compliance with National Standards of Cleaning, Infection Control Policies Food Safety Acts and COSHH regulations throughout the sites
- Maintain statutory records and personal files, including but not limited to Sickness, Disciplinary Proceedings, Accidents, Absence, Role Descriptions for the Patient Services Team
- Build relationships and develop effective communication with the Client and Trust Representatives.
- Responsible for monitoring staff rostering and work details.
- Full Clean UK Driving License
- A detailed track record in managing cleaning and/or catering services
- Cleaning/Catering experience in a healthcare environment preferred, but not essential
- Can demonstrate roles where successful candidate has managed teams from diverse backgrounds and skills sets
- Creative and effective reaction to operational issues
- Experience at interfacing at all levels throughout an organisation, gaining and maintaining credibility with all people
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Works well individually
- Good team player
