Youth Support Worker
Job Type: Permanent & Full Time
Hours: 37hpw + Overtime
Location: Beccles
Salary: £24,496 - £25,874+ enhancements
Shift Pattern: Mixture of long days, sleep-ins, mornings, and late shifts
JMR Recruitment are currently looking for Youth Support Worker to help support a residential service within the Beccles area.
We are recruiting Youth Support Workers on behalf of a high quality residential and education provider with services near Beccles. This service can accommodate up to 8 children with complex social and mental health needs.
Experience is not required for this role! Only a passion for helping to support vulnerable young people and children!
Roles and Responsibilities
· Implement and monitor agreed care plans to provide children with secure, safe, and stimulating environments; providing a calm, relaxed and homely living experience
· Be responsible for the safety of children
· Be responsible for guidance/counselling of children in personal and social ability
· Set clear guidance for children to set good standards of behaviour and achievement
· Be able to engage children in recreational and social programmes
· Complete daily observations and record children’s behaviour
· Be involved in domestic and household duties
· To complete sleep-in shifts as per rota
· Provide additional support for the family or carers over routine problems that may occur
About You
· Proficient English Language and Literacy skills
· Full UK Driving Licence
· Right to work in the UK
· Willingness to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 2 years of starting the role.
· Good communication skills both written and oral
