Who we are
Compass Homes supports and accommodates young people aged 16-25, including care leavers, asylum seekers (UASC) and homeless young people. Our purpose is to give direction and support to young people to help them develop their independence skills and by taking a centred approach around support we enable our young people to make choices which will affect them and keep them heading in the right direction, by creating SMART objectives for young people to help and support them to achieve their goals.

We are looking to recruit full time Support Workers who are required to be flexible and able to cover sleeps ins as part of the role. The role would involve working at properties across the Nottinghamshire/ Mansfield area as required.
You should be experienced in taking a person-centred approach to support and encourage our young people to build positive and healthy relationships to help them develop their life skills, with safeguarding being an integral part of their development and progression into independence.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Weekly Key-working sessions in alignment with support plans
- Creating SMART objectives and provide support to develop life skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, etc.
- Completing daily records and reports of engagement/ support undertaken
- Adhering Safeguarding policies & procedures and reporting at all times
This is not an exhaustive list.
You must be able to work shifts, covering a range of times, between the hours of 8am - 10pm & sleeps
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
- Essential - minimum of 1 year's relevant support work/housing/youth work/residential/social work, probation/criminal justice or community work experience
- Desirably hold or be working towards a Level 3 Children & Young Peoples' Workforce, Health & Social Care or other relevant/equivalent qualification
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car with business insurance is desirable but not essential

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Nottingham, Nottinghamshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Health and social care: 1 year (preferred)
