Youth Justice Worker – Sheffield Youth Justice Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Sheffield Youth Justice Service who are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the service as a Youth Justice Worker.

Sheffield Youth Justice Service is a key statutory partnership within the city and the successful applicant will join an established team who is committed to maintaining and further developing effective relationships with key partners including Probation Service, Children’s Services, Sheffield Children’s NHS Trust, South Yorkshire Police and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
Sheffield Youth Justice Service continues to coordinate the provision of youth justice services across the city and as a Youth Justice Worker you will be responsible managing a caseload of young people to prevent reoffending, protect the public, promote the safety and wellbeing of service users and to ensure that disposals and sentences are served.
The successful candidate will be supported to undertake a foundation degree in Youth Justice within the first three years in post to progress to the role of Youth Justice Officer.
Sheffield Youth Justice Service has recently received an overall judgement of “Good“ by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probation and rated “Outstanding” in many areas of service delivery.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
