Role
Working as part of the Placements Team within Careers and Placements, you will be responsible for leading our York Internships offer, and for generally promoting the engagement of our students and graduates within the regional labour market. Working closely with small businesses, charities and other organisations to promote the use of the skills and enthusiasm of our students and graduates, you will help in the design of appropriate student projects and facilitate the best possible outcomes for both employer, host and intern; providing efficient project administration and ultimately ensuring that the deployment of interns, placement students and graduates represents great value for money is central to the role.
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
- You will be able to build working relationships with employers, organisations and individuals which present widely different requirements. You will have a good understanding of the processes involved in the management of effective work-based learning and/or recruitment in order to network and promote the University’s services in a range of regional locations. A proven history of client-facing work and excellent customer service skills is essential, as is the ability to pay close attention to detail and monitor project progress. A level 3 qualification is required.
