York Cares, the employee-volunteering charity based at the University of York, is recruiting a Volunteering Project Officer to join our small yet dynamic team of four to co-ordinate our employee-volunteering programmes.
Role
You will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality volunteering programmes working with both employers and external partners, including schools and community organisations. You will engage employee-volunteers in activities through the production of promotional materials for web and social media and the co-ordination of city-wide recruitment campaigns and events. You will deliver excellent customer service to maintain both employer and partner relations. You will monitor participation and gather feedback to support the continuous improvement of activities and ensure membership continues to deliver benefits. Salary will be within the range £29,762 - £34,314 per annum, within Grade 5 of the HERA salary scales. The post is a fixed-term contract for two years and available on a full-time and job-share basis.
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
You will have an undergraduate degree or equivalent and experience of working with employers, schools and voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations. You will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be able to enthuse others about the benefits of volunteering. You will have a professional and approachable manner and take an active role in the team.

Condition of employment
