Salary: up to £24.5k DOE
Reporting to: After Sales Operations Manager & Workshop Supervisor.

Our Yardsperson plays a crucial role in driving us forward in the UK and is vital to our department’s mission to turn the planet orange! You will be maintaining a tidy and fully operational yard/workshop to make sure our engineers and technicians can keep delivering the exceptional service we are known for.
This role is open to those with previous or transferable experience however, Först would also be open to bringing on an enthusiastic trainee to upskill and invest in.
Key responsibilities:
Tidying and maintenance of the yard and workshop, ensuring tools, pallets and products are in their place and safely stored.- Loading and unloading of lorries/vans, ensuring products/stock are intact, labelled and correctly stored.
- Washing down machines after they have been through the workshop cycle.
- Assisting with multi department requirements.
- Adapting to the needs of the day; this role is variable in tasks and requirements, the above is only a guideline of standard role responsibilities. This may include earlier starts/later finishes (compensated with overtime pay).
Person specification:
Relevant experience
Previous experience in a similar role or industry would be desirable but those with passion for the industry or engineering who are willing to learn will also be considered
Working in a physically demanding role
Skills
Forklift licence is preferable
Quick thinking with a ability to problem-solve
Good communication skills with the ability to integrate into an existing team
Personal attributes
Friendly and professional with a ‘can-do’ attitude
Happy to get stuck in and adapt to the requirements of the day
Willing to learn (if less experienced) as there is the opportunity for career progression
