At Prestwick Service Centre we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engine nacelles systems and engine components. An opportunity has arisen for a permanenet workshop operator to work within our Operational Business Units.

We require experienced individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with our European and Middle Eastern customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• General duties include cleaning units and small components within a wash bay using a jet wash and portable washing units

• Disassembly and assembly of component parts supporting the receiving and shipment processes

• Compliance with all policies and regulatory procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and Global Trade Compliance requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Mechanical background with ability to demonstrate basic mechanical skills

• Aviation background desirable although not essential

• Flexibility with the ability to work a shift pattern to meet the needs of the business demands

• Ability to communicate and present effectively – both verbally and written

• Manage time and projects successfully, knowledge of CI would be beneficial

• Be a team player, have initiative, motivation, and focus

• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office suite and SAP experience is desirable

The role requires flexibility in rapidly evolving global aviation market. Dayshift/backshift rotation may be required in the role (with associated competitive premiums) and will be complemented with a comprehensive training plan.
