At ARR Craib Transport Ltd, we have a vacancy for a Workshop Support Operative to work out of our busy Aberdeen depot.
The position of Workshop Support Operative involves:
- Take and present vehicles & trailers for MOT test.
- Use of a Counterbalance to load & unload ballast weights to vehicles and trailers for MOT tests and for routine brake testing.
- Carry out routine brake testing on vehicles and trailers.
- Clean vehicles and trailers for MOT preparation.
- Carry out vehicle & trailer collection & delivery duties.
- Handle bulk fuel deliveries into the depot fuel tank.
- Assist technicians with general workshop duties as and when required.
- Help keep the work place clean & tidy.
- Assist with any other general workshop related duties required.
- Assist with snow clearing activities with snow plough in winter.
Essential skills required for Workshop Support Operative:
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Counterbalance licence up to 10T desirable but not essential as full in-house training can be provided.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Confident, polite and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 06:30hrs – 17:00hrs and Saturday working on a rota alternate weekend 06:30hrs to 12:30hrs.
