What are we looking for?
Reflection Therapeutics is seeking a hard-working and resilient Scientist to join our
Cellular Immunology team. The successful candidate will be part of setting up and building out our lab capabilities and will be involved in further developing our
CAR-Treg therapies. In addition, they will investigate Treg immunological processes through ex vivo and in vitro studies. They should have experience with standard cell culture and immunology techniques. The successful candidate is expected to help develop databases and SOPs, carry out independent scientific studies to generate high quality data to inform the development of our technology platform, and demonstrate critical thinking.
At Reflection Therapeutics you will be involved in:
● Establishing and maintaining cell cultures
● Setting up co-culture assays with immune cells and various other cell types
● Investigating the phenotypes and functional statuses of immune and non-immune cells
● Investigating cytokine profiles in co-culture models
● Designing, executing, and developing complex research investigations
● Providing technical expertise for assay setup, protocol optimisation and troubleshooting
● Critically analysing data in a timely manner and presenting findings at team meetings
● Maintaining highly organised and detailed documentation of experimental procedures
● Collaborating and coordinating work with other teams to meet deadlines and goals
● Staying up-to-date with literature and new technologies within the cell therapy field
● Providing guidance and training to new or junior staff
What you will bring to the role - Essential Skills and Experience
● Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic lab-based environment
● Advanced knowledge of T-cell biology
● Solid understanding of immunology and immunotherapy
● Extensive experience in immunological assays
● Demonstrated proficiency in flow cytometry (instrument setup and QC, tissue processing and cell isolation, cell staining for surface markers, cytokines, and transcription factors, acquisition and data handling, multiparameter analysis etc.)
● Demonstrated proficiency with cytokine analysis (flow cytometry, ELISA,
ELISPOT, Luminex)
● Proficiency with data analysis softwares such as Prism and FlowJo
● Excellent organisational and record keeping skills
● PhD in Immunology or related subject or;
● MRes/MSc or Bsc with either 3 years or 5 years of relevant laboratory experience; respectively

● Previous industry experience
● Advanced knowledge of Treg biology
● Solid understanding of cell therapy
● Experience with mouse models of autoimmunity and inflammation
● Previous experience using electronic lab notebooks.
