A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Baker to join the Pastry Kitchen team at The Berkeley.

As a Baker you will bake in a smooth manner and run the Bakery operation ensuring all areas of the bakery are maintained to The Berkeley standards. To bake on a daily basis according to business requirement. In conjunction with the Executive Pastry Chef, supervise and co-ordinate the Bakery service with the other Food and Beverage departments.
Main responsibilities of the Baker include, but are not limited to:
- In conjunction with the Executive Pastry Chef/Head Baker produce all bread etc products needed by the hotel.
- Also plan menus, recipes and test samples.
- Be responsible for the production of breakfast bread products and the like in the Bakery. Ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained in all areas of the Bakery Kitchen such as machinery, small kitchen equipment, floors and fridges etc.
- Supervise and correct if necessary, cooking standards; to maintain a high quality of food and service on a daily basis.
- Inspect daily all fresh food received to ensure the quality is maintained.
- Contribute to maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA standards at all times.
