Carbon60 are currently looking for a Workshop Fitter for a large engineering and industrial services provider. The position is based on site, in Southampton.
The Workshop Fitter role is an ongoing, temporary contract with a prospect to go permanent. This will be mainly workshop based, with a requirement to work off site occasionally supporting customers.
The role includes:
- Servicing and maintaining of all rotating equipment including motors (AC/DC), pumps of types, gearboxes (mainly inline) and other rotating equipment such as generators.
- Providing Management and Customers with reports, Key Performance Indicators, and feedback within agreed timeframes where required.
The role requires:
- A multi skilled engineer capable of working on, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical industrial rotating equipment, Pumps & Gearboxes whilst working to and complying with the company's health & safety procedures and adhering to company SSW & RAMS.
The company offer a wide range of engineering components, technical services, and engineering solutions across multiple sectors. They have over 300 sites across the UK and Ireland which consist of their own centres and on-site solutions with their clients. The Southampton site works with their field engineers who cannot repair the equipment onsite and need further support from the workshop.
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 39hrs per week
Monday - Thursday - 07:00 - 15:30 Friday - 07:30 - 14:30
