We are looking for an Operations Manager to be part of a dedicated depot team that works together to provide great delivery performance and excellent customer service. You will be a key part of the Tuffnells team and play a huge part in our growth and success. This role is about more than just customer service, it is about putting our customers at the heart of what we do every day.
This role is working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 22:00 - 07:00

As an Operations Manager, you will manage a fast paced operation of warehouse and traffic to a high standard to meet business requirements ensuring you continually review the operation to make efficiencies. You will work closely with the Depot Manager and have an input into the depot budget to maximise profitability whilst supporting in achieving targeted service, cost, compliance, and quality performance measures.
You will need to
- Have previous experience in managing a team of people
- Demonstrate a background of success in achieving and exceeding targets whilst delivering an outstanding experience in a fast paced environment
- Exhibit practical knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety regulations, ideally with a recognised H&S qualification
- Have experience of managing a budget, working to operational KPI's and financial targets
- Be motivated and passionate
- Have a strong work ethic and desire to work as a team to help Tuffnells succeed
- Demonstrate excellent communication both verbally and written and the ability to build excellent relationships with peers, team members and key stakeholders
- Have experience working within Supply chain, logistics, FMCG, warehouse or distribution at management level, including managing fleet operations
- Ideally be in possession of a Transport Manager CPC Qualification or the desire to work towards it
- Have a full UK driving license
